Dear Readers,
The editorial board brings forth new year wishes for the 2026 in the best way it can, interesting reads across the spectrum of cutaneous and esthetic surgery!
The past year of 2025 was quite exciting with a number of original research, review articles, and consensus statements published and in the process of publication. A total of 346 submissions were received in 2025 with an acceptance rate of 13.58%. Our mean submission to acceptance days was 75.04, and mean acceptance to publication was 130.64 days. Our Scopus CiteScore has never been better, with the journal achieving its highest score so far of 1.6.
We have had over 3.5 million downloads in 2025. Two original articles, one on basic anatomy1 with useful inputs for dermato- and esthetic surgeons and the other on the comparative research of peptide serums2 along with two review articles,3,4 led the large number of downloads. We gratefully acknowledge the interest and trust of our readers in the research we publish.
We are very excited to bring a special supplementary issue, an “Oncology Special” with 20 articles contributed over the past year, focusing on this topic.
Looking forward to the upcoming year, we look to raising our standards further. Authors need to pay attention to the guidelines for submissions. Images submitted need to be of the highest quality. Any patient photograph needs an explicit patient consent as mentioned in our author guidelines (refer downloads section) without which no article shall be published. Ethical committee clearances and registrations of trials are essential. All artificial intelligence usage must be mentioned during the submission of articles.
The journal looks forward to welcoming interested dermato- and esthetic surgeons as members of the editorial board and as reviewers. Please mail your resume to editorinchiefjcas@gmail.com.
Wishing you the best for the year 2026!
